After 22 years spent in the air and maritime branch, I joined the front line as a assistant director then Deputy director in charge of Customs teams.

I had to lead, as an assistant, the teams (750 customs officers) which control the passengers in the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport with all the questions about the security and the safety so that the issues related to the counterfeit products, drugs, tobaccos, alcohols illegally imported...

All this gave me a global view of the difficulties to be efficient at the borders and to try to anticipate the new smuggling trends
